Basic Image Retouching

Images are rarely perfect when they come off the camera no matter how accomplished the photographer.  There will often be dust and scratches on the image that will need to be repaired if the image is going to be blown up very large and of course the and client often changes their mind about exactly what they want to see after the photo shoot is finished and the models, product and photographer are long gone.

Retouching is very subjective and depends on who your client is and what media the image is going to end up on…a picture going on the front page of a newspaper will have a lot less time spent on it than one going on a light box at a department store makeup counter.  This subjectivity means that pre-press operators don’t like to let the image out or their careful control…..and we agree.

Retouching is very time consuming and we can still save you a whole load of time. Certain retouching is not as subjective such as dust and scratches and for other retouching we can follow your instructions so you get the work done your way.  We leave the final control in your hands by providing you with the retouch layers so you can tweak or adjust anything that you choose.
